Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of Melt Shop experience

Nice To Haves

Prior LMF or Degasser experience
Prior leadership experience

Responsibilities

Safely lead the team and coordinate shop flow with the rest of the Melt Shop.
Safely and efficiently prepare heats from the EAF to be cast.
Oversee and ensure that the steel chemistry, slag, superheat, and timing of the heat are within the defined parameters for the required grade.
Operate the alloy systems, stir systems, and power systems for LMF 1 and 2.
Assist in the development of their 2nd helpers, lab techs, and ladle crane operators.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
