About The Position

Lennar is the largest homebuilder in the United States and the parent company to LMF Commercial ("LMF"). LMF Commercial is responsible for originating commercial real estate loans ranging from $2-100 million and securitizes these loans by selling bonds to investors. In 2016 and 2017, LMF ranked first in volume as non-lead bank underwriter loan contributors, with over 90% of funded loans having initial balances under $50 million and approximately 80% secured by assets in non-top 10 MSAs. Interns will gain exposure to underwriting commercial real estate and the entire securitization process, from origination through bond sales. LMF Commercial is a growing company, offering an excellent opportunity for aspiring professionals to learn about Real Estate finance.

Requirements

Advanced proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Excellent analytical and organizational skills along with the ability to multi-task
Highly-developed verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive thinking with detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach
Highly motivated and proven track-record of high achievement

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in real estate, accounting, economics, finance, or other related field

Responsibilities

Assist in underwriting and performing due diligence of potential and new application returned loans
Financial modeling and data analysis
Perform research on various markets throughout the U.S. and communicating with brokers, in these markets
Ad hoc projects as needed
