About The Position

This position is responsible for providing personal assistance to residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living. The role involves providing homemaking services such as making beds, washing dishes, tidying apartments, organizing closets and drawers, laundering clothing and bedding, ironing, grocery shopping, and meal preparations. Additionally, the attendant will provide other assistance as required and document services provided on daily report sheets, ensuring they are completed and returned at the end of each shift. The role also requires attending all required training, in-service, and staff meetings, striving to maintain a safe working environment, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
0-1+ years of General patient care in a care facility or in a home situation.
The ability to understand and speak the English language.
Patience and compassion for the elderly.

Responsibilities

Provide Home Making Services as required: Make the bed, wash dishes, tidy the apartment, organize closets and dresser drawers, launder clothing and bedding, iron, grocery shopping, meal preparations.
Provide additional assistance as required.
Document on the daily report sheets services provided to the resident.
Daily reports to be completed and returned at the end of each shift.
Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
