Livestream and Off Campus Event Engineer, Event Productions
About The Position
At Amazon, we're looking for a Livestream and Production Engineer to join our dynamic Event Productions team. You'll help create and deliver exceptional livestream experiences for Amazon's largest on and off-campus events. A Production Engineer's role is to operate production equipment during livestream events that are hosted by our internal Amazon customers experienced by internal or external attendees. The Production Engineer will work alongside Producers, peers and customers to deliver high quality event experiences. This work will encompass all stages of the event process including production preparation, set, execution, and strike. Production Engineers will travel regionally and globally to provide operational support for events taking place outside of Amazon's campus as needed. This role will be responsible for supporting livestream events both in-person and remotely, as necessary. You'll join a collaborative group focused on delivering high-quality event experiences for internal and external audiences. We value innovation, customer obsession, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in livestream
- Strong experience working with Elemental products (Encoders)
- Strong knowledge in AWS livestreaming products (Elemental MediaLive, MediaPackage)
- Proven experience in live event production and livestreaming
- Strong technical knowledge of integrated Production systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience creating signal flow diagrams and technical documentation
- Commitment to safety and industry best practices
- Flexibility to support various technical roles as needed

- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and operate livestream events ranging from corporate meetings to concerts.
- Provide technical direction for audio, video, lighting, and livestreaming.
- Support hybrid events through both onsite and remote operations.
- Install and optimize livestream production equipment in various venues.
- Collaborate with event organizers and AV teams to deliver excellent event experiences.
- Travel up to 20% to support global events.
- Prepare and organize technical equipment needs.
- Conduct equipment testing and signal flow verification.
- Coordinate with organizers on technical requirements.
- Operate livestream production equipment for live events.
- Provide real-time technical support across audio, video, and lighting.
- Adapt quickly to changing customer needs.
- Ensure consistent quality throughout productions.
- Manage equipment strike and storage.
- Participate in event feedback and improvement discussions.
