About The Position

This role involves handling livestock hogs, including but not limited to driving, sorting, weighing, tattooing, marking, and penning while maintaining accurate inventories and headcounts. Additional responsibilities include performing light building maintenance and showcase duties when not working with livestock. The position requires safely and efficiently moving hogs with minimal stress, adhering to humane handling policies, and carrying out other tasks assigned by the supervisor. All Tyson Team Members must prioritize safety, including both personal and food safety.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A minimum of one year of experience in livestock handling, including loading and unloading operations, is required.
Basic computer proficiency preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with team members and government officials.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to lift 70+ pounds unassisted.
Ability to stand for 8–10 hours (excluding breaks).

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in skid loader and forklift operation is preferred.
Experience in meat industry procurement and knowledge of humane animal handling practices are also beneficial.
