The Louisville Livestock Driver is responsible for transporting livestock, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. Requirements

At least 21 years of age
1-year semi-tractor and 53ft trailer driving experience
Experience in loading and unloading cargo
Knowledge of Pre-trip and post-trip DOT regulations
Skill in Navigation
Proper driving (semi-tractor)
Route planning
Load securing
Recording DOT hours
Backing
Communication
Time management
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Ability to lift and pull up to 50 to 75 pounds

Responsibilities

Lift 75 pounds
Read, write, and speak English effectively
Work various shifts and days of the week (Sunday-Thursday 6pm to 6am, Monday-Friday 12pm to 12am, Weekends as needed)
Sit upright for an extended period of time
Hear and differentiate sounds
Review and understand maps and special instructions
Work in wet, damp, or dry areas and/or those requiring exposure to varying temperatures
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Perform squatting, kneeling, bending and climbing
Climb ladders of different designs to access locations on the trailer
Bend over for a length of time to load and unload (livestock only)
Adapt to changing conditions such as weather, traffic, and route changes
Maintain alertness
Perform quick thinking
Demonstrate patience
Drive semi-tractor and 53ft trailer
Load and unload cargo
Perform Pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections
