About The Position

The Livehaul Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing Live Haul equipment, moving equipment to farms and repair shops, performing safety inspections, assisting in the shop, maintaining inventory, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor. This is a full-time, hourly position with day shift hours from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime as necessary. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $27.00 - $38.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical abilities.
• Good basic math skills.
• Above average reading and writing skills.
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
• Able to work in a cold, wet, humid, hot and/or dusty environment.
• Able to work with heights and in confined spaces.
• Must be able to pass a lung function test to be certified to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus or gas mask which requires no facial hair in areas where the face mask seals against the face.
• Able to be on-call every other week.
• Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions & current DOT medical exam certificate.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Live Haul equipment.
• Move equipment to farms and repair shop.
• Do shop and equipment safety inspections.
• Assist others in shop when needed.
• Maintain and clean shop area.
• Maintain accurate inventory.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
