About The Position

This role involves the transportation of day-old turkey poults to various company and contract turkey farms, as well as the collection of egg racks from farms and hatcheries. The position requires maintaining accurate logs, performing general truck maintenance, and adhering to all safety and biosecurity protocols. The driver will also be responsible for pushing heavy egg racks and maintaining a positive, team-oriented demeanor.

Requirements

• Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no restrictions & current DOT medical exam certificate
• Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Have a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Posses a current medical card
• At least 21 years old
• Be able to read, write and communicate in the English Language
• Have 1 year or more of verifiable professional driving experience or be able to provide a certificate from an accredited driver training program
• Have an acceptable driving record
• You must not have had an OWI conviction in the past 5 years or have one now pending
• Good communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Delivery of day-old turkey poults to various company and contract turkey farms
• Driving to pick up egg racks from farms and hatcheries.
• Maintain accurate mileage and driver's logs
• General maintenance on the truck including inspections, fueling, cleaning, sanitizing
• Being able to push 1,000 lb egg racks on wheels.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
• Follow all biosecurity guidelines
• Conduct self in a positive, team oriented manner
