Requirements

Excellent attendance is required of all applicants.
Person selected must know or be willing to learn all the jobs in the department.
Basic math and reading skills.
Ability to do paperwork as needed.
Proven performance and positive attitude.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist supervising hourly team members to ensure quality work and operational standards are met daily.
Resolving team member issues and promoting team member engagement
Being responsible for promoting a safe work environment/culture among team members. Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions.
Assist Supervisor on getting the Live Receiving Department started daily on time.
Fill in as needed at any position to ensure a consistent product flow.
Assist Supervisor with Production paperwork as needed.
Respond to USDA inspectors and their concerns in a timely and correct manner.
Help train new team members and monitor their performance.
Assist other supervisors and managers with issues in other departments in the plant.
Perform production checks to ensure the department is performing to standards.
Adhere to all Animal Welfare/Humane Slaughter policies.
