About The Position
Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate caregiver for an ongoing live-in weekend assignment providing personalized care to a client in their private residence in Dallas, Texas. The assignment runs from Friday at 7:00 AM through Monday at 7:00 AM, with a daily rate of $330. Consistent availability for the full assignment is essential. Overnight sleeping arrangements, required awake hours, and designated breaks will be discussed before the assignment begins. The client needs hands-on assistance with personal hygiene, changing, mobility, transfers, and other daily care needs. The caregiver will use a Hoyer lift for transfers and support the client's routine use of a sleep PAP machine, following the established care plan, instructions, and safety procedures. The caregiver must maintain the client's comfort, safety, dignity, privacy, and independence, and be comfortable working in a smoking-friendly household with a large dog and a cat. Requirements
- Previous experience in professional caregiving, personal care, or home care.
- Experience using a Hoyer lift for safe client transfers.
- Familiarity with sleep PAP machines and their routine use.
- Experience providing changing, hygiene, and incontinence care.
- Ability to follow care instructions and safe transfer procedures.
- Patient, compassionate approach and strong attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and ability to commit to the full Friday-to-Monday assignment.
- Comfort working in a smoking-friendly home and around a large dog and a cat.
Responsibilities
- Assist the client with activities of daily living.
- Provide personal hygiene and incontinence care, including changing the client as needed and maintaining cleanliness.
- Assist with repositioning and mobility as appropriate.
- Use a Hoyer lift safely for transfers, following proper procedures and the established care plan.
- Maintain the client's privacy, dignity, comfort, and safety during personal care.
- Understand the client's sleep PAP machine and routine use; assist with setup and use as directed and within caregiver training.
- Observe the client's comfort and report equipment concerns or changes in condition.
- Follow established care instructions, safety procedures, daily routines, and the care plan.
- Provide companionship and compassionate support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment related to client care.
- Communicate concerns and changes in the client's condition to the appropriate contact.
