About The Position

A warm, professional family on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking an experienced, energetic, and nurturing Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper to join their household. The family has two daughters, a toddler age 2.5 and an infant age 3 months. There is an existing live-out nanny on staff who primarily focuses on the younger child, and the new hire will work collaboratively alongside her. The family employs a weekly deep cleaning service, so this role focuses on maintaining day-to-day cleanliness, organization, and the smooth running of the household rather than deep cleaning. This is a long-term role with a family that deeply values the people who work in their home and is committed to finding their forever person. The family will be relocating to the West Village mid-to-late next year, and the successful candidate should be open to that transition.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a private household nanny, housekeeper, or hybrid role
  • Minimum tenure of 3 years per position
  • Valid US work authorization
  • Strong verifiable references
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record preferred
  • Comfortable working in a busy professional household environment
  • Open to occasional travel with the family
  • Open to relocating to the West Village with the family next year
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Responsibilities

  • Preparing breakfast and dinner for the family
  • School drop-off and pickup for the toddler (walking distance)
  • Engaging the toddler in age-appropriate activities during after-school hours
  • Collaborating warmly and professionally with the existing nanny on staff
  • Maintaining general household cleanliness and daily tidying of common areas
  • Making beds and keeping living spaces neat and orderly
  • Seasonal closet turnovers and wardrobe organization
  • Household inventory management and grocery shopping
  • Light vendor coordination, including interfacing with handymen or service providers as needed
  • Maintaining household supplies and placing household orders
  • Occasional travel with the family
