About The Position

We are currently seeking a Live-In Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team at 100 Main Street, a 300-unit high-rise apartment community in downtown Hamilton. This hands-on role is ideal for a skilled and dependable maintenance professional who takes pride in their work, has a customer-focused approach, and is passionate about creating exceptional living experiences for residents. In this position, you will help ensure the property remains safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently while delivering outstanding service and support to our residents. You will play a key role in maintaining the overall quality, appearance, and functionality of the community. Requirements

Working knowledge and professional experience in a wide variety of residential maintenance and light renovation tasks.
General understanding of residential building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and heating systems.
Experience in performing basic appliance and fixture repairs is considered a strong asset.
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Must have valid, class G driver’s license, access to personal vehicle, and clean drivers abstract to respond to urgent work orders at neighboring properties.
Must have tools necessary to complete basic maintenance tasks.
Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.
Participation in an after-hours rotational response team may be required.

Responsibilities

Responding to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
Performing general maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, suites, and common areas.
Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities, fixtures, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
Assist with seasonal property operations, including snow removal.
Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
Work collaboratively with site staff, management, and external vendors as required.
Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and report safety hazards to management.
