About The Position

Guardian Angel Senior Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Live-In Caregivers to provide quality care and companionship to elderly and disabled individuals in their homes throughout Massachusetts. This role is ideal for individuals who are CNAs or HHAs, dependable, caring, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in someone's life. As a Live-In Caregiver, you will support your client with daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being while offering a caring presence. Assignments range from 3 to 30 consecutive days, with a typical 24-hour period divided into 13 hours of care, 8 hours of sleep, and 3 hours of personal time and breaks. You are expected to remain at the client's home throughout the scheduled 24-hour period.

Requirements

• Current HHA, or CNA certification
• Experience caring for elderly or disabled individuals
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Compassionate, respectful, and dependable attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Commitment to following health and safety standards
• Ability to work independently and responsibly in a client's home
• COVID-19 vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Personal care, including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
• Assistance with mobility and prescribed range-of-motion exercises
• Medication reminders and oversight
• Companionship, conversation, and meaningful activities
• Meal and snack preparation
• Grocery shopping and household errands
• Transportation to appointments and other activities
• Light housekeeping and homemaking
• Dementia and Alzheimer's care
• Hospice care
• Responding appropriately and promptly in emergency situations
• Supporting the client's overall comfort, safety, and well-being
