About The Position
We are seeking a Superintendent to live on-site for an apartment building in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This position is responsible to maintain and service the building facilities and tenant work orders.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property maintenance
- On Call for services as necessary including nights and weekends.
- Must have own tools.
Responsibilities
- Service requests from management and tenants such as appliance repairs, simple plumbing/electric repairs, painting, etc.
- Preventative maintenance.
- Speedy turnover of vacant apartments with contractors.
- Perform general maintenance repairs and tasks without endangering self, residents, or staff.
- Organizational skills to prioritize service requests and general maintenance tasks.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance program that minimizes emergency repairs, service requests and the utilization of outside contractors.
- Special projects or additional duties assigned by Supervisor that are essential for property operations.
- The ability to deal with tenants and other staff members.
- The ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Sheetrock, General Carpentry, Roof Repairs, Painting, Plastering and Compounding, Sidewalk Concrete Repairs, Ice/Snow Removal.
