About The Position

Visiting Angels is a trusted provider of senior home care, operating since 1998. The Harrisonburg, Virginia office serves the Southern Shenandoah Valley. We are looking for companion care providers, personal care providers, home health aides, and skilled care professionals. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• PCA (personal care aide), Nurse Aide Course Completion Certificate, or CNA (certified nursing assistant) license
• Minimum of 1 year prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting
• Eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Auto Insurance
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Supportive and compassionate
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Pass a state-mandated criminal background check, reference check, and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with ADLs and iADLs to clients
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Transportation to & from appointments (typically in client's vehicle)
• Assist with errands
• Provide warm, friendly companionship
• Enforce health and safety standards
