About The Position

The Live Haul Supervisor directly supervises a team of 5 or more employees and oversees live-haul operations. The role follows the catch schedule developed by the Live Haul Manager, coordinates with producers to prepare chicken houses for catching, and ensures animal welfare, biosecurity, safety, staffing, regulatory compliance, and accurate operational records. The job may include additional duties beyond those listed, and the company reserves the right to modify the job without prior notice.

Requirements

Direct supervision of a team of 5 or more employees.
Ability to work in normal indoor environments and outdoors, including hot, cold, humid, and dusty conditions.
Ability to lift various weights as needed.
Physical ability to climb ladders at various heights.

Responsibilities

Directly supervise a team of 5 or more employees.
Follow the catch schedule developed by the Live Haul Manager and coordinate with the producer to prepare chicken houses for catching.
Follow animal welfare and biosecurity programs and enforce the company's zero-tolerance policy on employee animal welfare issues.
Monitor loader operators to ensure they work safely.
Ensure weather-related handling tasks, including fans, wetting birds, and wrapping cages, are in place and properly performed.
Control trash and damage to the producer's facility.
Complete load tickets and provide copies to the producer, driver, and Live Haul Manager.
Complete payroll records properly and submit them to the Live Haul Manager.
Handle chemicals, vaccines, and medications safely and ensure employees do the same.
Maintain adequate staffing.
Ensure compliance with applicable government agencies and regulations.
