About The Position

The Forklift Operator's purpose is to transfer pallets of stacked products from the production work area to the freezer/cooler storage area, and to reassign vasts of birds for use in production. This role requires operating a forklift, moving pallets of stacked product, and retrieving vats of birds from one department and transporting them to another. The operator will also retrieve pallets of totes/boxes from storage as needed and perform other duties as assigned, while using required PPE and following all safety guidelines. Additionally, the role involves loading and unloading trucks.

Requirements

• Able to learn and operate a forklift properly and safely.
• Good hand and eye coordination.
• Able to work at a fast steady pace.
• Stand and walk duration of shift – all scheduled hours.
• Workable use of both hands and able to grasp.
• Good eye sight (with or without corrective lens).
• Physical strength needed to pull/push manual forklift if needed.
• Able to climb stairs.
• Able to reach and bend.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Forklift.
• Move pallets of stacked product from production work area to freezer/cooler storage area.
• Retrieve vats of birds from one department and transport to another.
• Retrieve pallets of totes/boxes from storage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
