Live Haul Driver (Home Daily)
About The Position

This role involves driving a livestock trailer to farms, loading live pigs, and safely delivering them to Clemens Food Group. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is in excellent condition through regular inspections, maintaining accurate paperwork, and prioritizing safety and animal welfare at all times. Effective communication with dispatch and farmers is key to smooth operations, and safe, efficient unloading is required upon arrival.
Requirements
- CDL Class A with air brake endorsement (required).
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally over 100 lbs.
- Comfortable working in farm environments, including exposure to manure.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed based on plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Drive a livestock trailer to farms, load live pigs, and safely deliver them to Clemens Food Group.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in excellent condition.
- Ensure all required invoices and paperwork are accurate and complete.
- Maintain control of equipment and livestock at all times, prioritizing safety and animal welfare.
- Communicate with dispatch and farmers to ensure smooth operations.
- Unload pigs safely and efficiently upon arrival.
