About The Position

This role involves live hanging of chickens. The primary responsibilities include removing live chickens from a moving conveyor belt and placing them onto overhead shackles. The position also requires operating and controlling the speed of the conveyor belt using a knee-controlled lever, removing birds identified as “Dead on Arrival,” washing empty coops and trailers with a high-pressure hose, and picking up “Dead on Arrival” and loose chickens from the floor. Additionally, the role includes cleaning up feathers and other debris by placing them into gondolas or tanks.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time (8+HRS) on the concrete/metal grate ergo stands on the floor
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to meet company established standards
• Repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling motions, torso twisting and lifting of 4-10LBS
• Able to work in a dark, dusty, cold, or hot environment
