About The Position

The Live Hanger is responsible for hanging live chickens in moving shackles. The employee must use and maintain personal protective equipment and comply with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. The role pays $22.40 and is scheduled from 4:45 AM to 1:43 PM. Benefits are available on the first day of hire.

Requirements

• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hatchery or related poultry industry experience.
• Basic math functions and skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick up chickens by their thighs and place both feet onto moving shackles, ensuring the feet are securely caught.
• Control the hydraulic bar with a leg to maintain a continuous flow of product.
• Comply with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
