About The Position
The purpose of a live hanger is to discern between live and dead chickens and hang the live ones on moving shackles. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and welfare standards of our chicken products. Requirements
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time.
- Must be able to work in a dimly lighted work area shoulder to shoulder with other employees.
- Must be able to grasp a chicken at approximately waist level and hang a live chicken on a shackle at shoulder height.
- Must be able to discern a live chicken from a dead chicken.
- Ability to hang a live chicken weighing 2-5 pounds, on every 5th shackle in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities

- Adhere to all George’s policies & procedures and all animal welfare laws & regulations.
- Stand for several hours at a time.
