About The Position

This role involves working the night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM with potential overtime. The primary responsibility is to lift live chickens off a moving conveyor belt and hang them on overhead shackles. This includes operating and controlling the conveyor belt speed using a knee-controlled lever, removing birds that are deemed “Dead on Arrival,” and washing empty coops and trailers with a high-pressure hose. The job also requires picking up “Dead on Arrival” and loose chickens from the floor, and cleaning up feathers and other debris into designated containers.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time (8+HRS) on the concrete/metal grate ergo stands on the floor.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to meet company established standards.
• Repetitive grasping, pushing, and pulling motions, torso twisting and lifting of 4-10LBS.
• Able to work in a dark, dusty, cold, or hot environment.
