About The Position

Practising Law Institute (PLI) is seeking a multimedia professional to fill the role of Live Event Specialist (On-Call). Requirements

  • 4+ years of production experience in entertainment, web, broadcast, or cable television required.
  • Proficiency is necessary in Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Production Suite.
  • Ability to edit, upload and display PowerPoint presentations.
  • Must have “Live” corporate event experience.
  • Must be able to work responsibly on own, but also to interact professionally with a wide range of internal clients.
  • Must display a willingness to juggle multiple projects and calmly meet challenging deadlines.
  • A willingness to work overtime is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production strongly preferred.
  • Familiar with Newtek NDI Tools a plus

Responsibilities

  • Cuts and directs the show for the conference room and web audience.
  • Tags lower thirds and syncs PowerPoint Events for Web Audience.
  • Mixes live audio for both in-room and online audiences.
  • Sets up and tests video conferencing (Zoom) for remote participants.
  • Uses visual Biamp audio meters and actively monitors the live webcast audio to adjust levels as needed.
  • Syncs the webcast stream with local recordings and monitors the live webcast for any audio or video issues.
  • Coordinates with the video operator to create program graphics, titles, and lower thirds, tag fields, and create sub-clips for product automation using a digital recorder for On-Demand Video Products.
  • Prepares commercial ads for playback during networking and lunch breaks.
  • Monitors the live event and communicates with the Program Attorney and Faculty Members who are presenting.
  • Helps faculty settle into their sessions and reviews microphone, presentation, and best practices for presenting.
  • Assists Faculty if any technical difficulties arise during the live program while communicating with control room technicians to keep the event moving forward.
  • Maintains effective and professional relationships within the Multimedia department and through the organization.
  • Communicates effectively with Multimedia management.
  • Communicates with Vendors and Engineers as necessary.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
