About The Position

The Live Events Fleet Manager oversees the BearCom fleet of trucks, trailers, and video surveillance trailers. This role is responsible for managing fleet maintenance, repairs, and operations while ensuring technology and equipment are in optimal working condition. The position also supports the video team, assisting with packing, testing, and troubleshooting video equipment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, organizational skills, and effective communication with traveling teams and other departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technically adept with the ability to learn on the job.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 60 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environments, including shop floors, office settings, event venues, and outdoor conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must pass a drug screening, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Nice To Haves

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with RF technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and document the basic maintenance of rental trucks and trailers (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations, greasing bearings).
  • Manage the GPS accounts for all fleet vehicles and trailers.
  • Conduct pre-departure inspections to confirm all vehicles, trailers, and hardware are in good working order.
  • Inspect incoming vehicles and equipment upon return to the home office before their next deployment.
  • Maintain troubleshooting and instructional documents for trailers and update as necessary.
  • Ensure all trailers’ WiFi and video technology infrastructure is functional before deployment.
  • Test and inspect video cameras to ensure they are operational and have current firmware.
  • Manage and stock ancillary parts for video installations sent from the Operations Center.
  • Build and test communication cables, including Cat5 and coaxial.
  • Work with traveling teams and managers to coordinate field oil changes and minor repairs.
  • Assist Live Event Managers with packing video orders and building required parts for video projects.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for deployed rental equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with other technical managers to improve processes and create resources for field personnel.
  • Manage basic networking components of trailers, including WiFi and video systems.
  • Program portable radios, mobile radios, repeaters, and repeater systems.
  • Utilize service monitors to tune duplexers.
  • Gain proficiency in cloud-based applications for Avigilon and other vendor-specific software.
  • Ensure compliance with BearCom policies and procedures.
  • Remain available to provide support for deployed systems and personnel.
  • Take on additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.
