About The Position
Refractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Live Breaker for their Midwest Cards brand. This role is responsible for all aspects of live breaking and selling, including show planning, on-air performance, and show analytics. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and trading cards, particularly hockey, and be able to entertain and engage an audience. This is an opportunity to join a growing team within a multi-faceted, nationwide sports trading card and memorabilia services company.
Requirements
- Experience being on live productions, podcasts, or other mediums
- Ability to work autonomously by taking concepts and directions, then breaking them down into executable next steps
- Experience with packing and shipping
- Experience with Google applications suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.)
- Experience with Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and audio-visual equipment
- Understanding of emerging online auction platforms (Whatnot, FanaticsLive, Youtube Streaming, etc.)
- Knowledge of sports and trading cards
- Knowledge of hockey and trading cards

- Ability to draw a crowd and entertain the room
- Existing audience
- Understanding of marketplace platforms (eBay & E-Commerce Websites)
- Customer service and sales experience
- An understanding, following, and passion for professional sports
Responsibilities
- On-air live selling and breaking
- Planning shows
- Innovating and improving show visuals and performance
- Post-show fulfillment as needed (supported by logistics team)
- Research and preparation for shows to educate and entertain
