About The Position

The Liturgical Music Director will oversee selecting music for liturgies in consultation with the pastor, and will be responsible for planning and scheduling musicians for regular liturgies, Holy Week, special feasts, and Holy Day liturgies. This role also involves serving as a resource for faith formation events and sacramental celebrations, collaborating with staff on IT equipment and arrangements for parish liturgy, and potentially assisting with arrangements for funerals and weddings. Key responsibilities include the recruitment, training, and ongoing formation of musicians, song leaders, and other music ministry members. The director must demonstrate proficiency in technology to enhance liturgy, maintain strong working knowledge of liturgy, exhibit ethical conduct, and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. Dependability, planning, and organizational abilities are also crucial for this part-time position.
