About The Position

The Litter worker picks up and disposes of litter from roadways per contracts. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The employee will be exposed to traffic. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee will be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold. No travel is expected for this position. The employee must pass a drug screen, strength test, and WSC background check.

Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day at multiple locations.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
• Must frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
• Must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to see and hear traffic.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must pass a strength test.
• Must pass a WSC background check.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and disposes of defined litter on the right-of-way.
• Assists supervisor in set-up and removal of traffic warning signs.
• Ensures all operational and safety procedures are properly followed, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
