About The Position

Schneider is seeking a Litigation Specialist in XXXCity to evaluate pre-suit accident claims and provide support to all areas of Risk Management in the litigation process. The Litigation Specialist will act as a liaison between Schneider and law firms.

Requirements

• Associate degree.
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
• Paralegal certificate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in the transportation industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and preserve accident documents.
• Complete driver analysis on accidents and share findings with adjusters and the leadership team.
• Familiarize the defense council with issues contained within litigation documents.
• Identify non-litigated claims that may need further investigation.
• Identify corporate witnesses for deposition and work with outside counsel to prepare witnesses.
• Audit and assess outside counsel billing, litigation performance and guideline compliance.
• Communicate with Risk Management associates about potential litigation issues that could affect claim resolution or litigation outcome.
