About The Position

This role requires a Litigation Specialist to demonstrate proficiency in analyzing coverage, determining liability, and evaluating damages. The specialist will be responsible for documenting all pertinent file activity, ensuring claims coding is adequate and accurate, and applying appropriate insurance principles, statutory and case law, and other jurisdictional issues. The role involves retaining defense counsel, collaborating with attorneys on strategy and action plans, and managing the litigation process to an appropriate and cost-effective resolution. Proficiency in evaluations and negotiations is essential, along with superior verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive attitude, adaptability, a high level of motivation, and excellent interaction within a team environment, possessing strong organizational and time management skills.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years handling litigation claims.
• Excellent analytical and interpretive skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with the ability to learn new applications.
• Must possess or be able to obtain applicable adjuster licenses.

Nice To Haves

• Four-year college degree or relevant work experience preferred.
