If you’re looking for more than a daily grind where what you do matters, we’re looking for you. Currently, we are looking to add a Scheduler to our Litigation team. This person will work with a Litigation Paralegal providing scheduling and administrative services to support development and movement of litigation injury cases. Your attention to detail will directly support the momentum of personal injury litigation matters and help ensure nothing falls through the cracks. We have amazing training and support, so while legal experience is preferred, it is not required.

Requirements

  • Communicate regularly, effectively, and professionally via email, written document, and telephone.
  • Read, analyze, and organize technical communication and documents, understanding when you are required to act based on what you read.
  • Keep track of a schedule and make sure project milestones are met on time.
  • Juggle multiple projects without getting overwhelmed.
  • Follow our processes, utilizing our checklists, Case Management Software, and other related computer programs.
  • Learn, grow, and succeed in a high-performance, office environment where you work mostly (if not entirely) onsite.

Nice To Haves

  • Legal experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule meetings like depositions and mediations to help prepare cases for trial.
  • Help coordinate schedules for expert witnesses with guidance from the Case Manager.
  • Train new Litigation team members on how to request medical and billing records and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Communicate with medical offices, insurance companies, and lien holders to request documents and information needed for cases.
  • Request medical records and billing statements and follow up to make sure everything is received.
  • Call medical providers and lien holders to check balances or gather additional details.
  • Request Med Pay and health insurance payment records.
  • Save, organize, and process invoices and other documents.
  • Help create and update medical binders, timelines, and summaries used to support cases.
  • Keep clear notes and records of all steps completed, following firm procedures.
