About The Position
A global insurance defense firm located in lower Manhattan seeks an experienced temporary Litigation Paralegal for a long-term assignment. This schedule is hybrid: in-office approximately 3-4 days per week. The hourly rate is $48-$50, plus benefits.
Requirements
- Prior experience with New York State insurance defense litigation required
- Strong knowledge of New York State court procedures
- Excellent drafting and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation management systems
Nice To Haves
- Strong substantive drafting skills and the ability to independently draft motions, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents from scratch; not simply revise shell documents or templates.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare motions, pleadings, discovery demands/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Assist attorneys with all phases of insurance defense litigation
- Manage case files and litigation deadlines
- Coordinate filings and service
- Organize medical records and litigation materials
- Trial preparation assistance as needed
