About The Position
A well-established Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury law firm has an immediate opening for a Workers' Compensation Litigation Paralegal. This position will be based in our Lutherville office and requires high energy and an unwavering dedication to help others, by meeting clients' needs. The ideal candidate is looking for a challenge, can work independently and has great customer service skills.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Follow up skills
Nice To Haves
- Some experience with a case database system is helpful, but not required.
- 1 - 2 years of litigation experience
- Experience working with personal injury or Maryland litigation processes.
- Customer service experience
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in a high-paced litigation practice by ensuring that all litigation-related matters are handled accurately, timely, and in compliance with procedural requirements
- Keeping up to date notes in case management system
- Organizing and file pleadings and case documents appropriately
- Preparing (draft), edit and file court pleadings electronically
- Coordinating scheduling with experts; e.g. trial dates, timing of reviews, etc.
