We are currently searching a full-time Litigation Paralegal to play a key role in assisting attorneys with all aspects of case management throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate brings strong litigation experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while delivering high‑quality support to attorneys and clients.

Requirements

  • A certificate of completion of a paralegal program or post-secondary degree from an institution that requires a minimum of 24 semester (or equivalent) units in law-related courses and has been accredited by a national or regional accrediting organization, or A bachelor’s degree in an unrelated major, and have: A certificate of completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program, or A minimum of one year of law-related experience under the supervision of an attorney who, for at least the preceding three years, has been an active member of the State Bar of California or has practiced in the federal courts of California, and A written declaration from same stating that the paralegal is qualified to perform paralegal tasks.
  • Additionally, every two years, a paralegal is required to certify completion of the following: Four hours of mandatory continuing legal education in legal ethics, and Four hours of mandatory continuing legal education in either general law or in an area of specialized law. Continuing legal education must meet the requirements established in Section 6070 of the California Business and Professional Code.
  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong cite checking and proofreading skills.
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task when needed.
  • Ability to work individually or in team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, legal codes, etc.
  • Prepare legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, etc. for review, approval, and use by attorneys.
  • Investigate facts and law of case to determine causes of action and to prepare case accordingly.
  • Assist with the collection, review, summarization, and organization of electronic and paper discovery materials.
  • Prepare trial binders and other materials for case preparation.
  • File pleadings with court clerk personally and electronically.
  • Prepare affidavits of documents and maintain document files.
  • Deliver or direct delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action.
