About The Position

Apex Service Partners is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support the litigation team. This new role requires 5 to 7 years of experience in a legal role and comfort in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with a working knowledge of legal procedures, documents, and terminology. The mission of this role is to support Apex's explosive growth, identify and mitigate risks, protect the brand, build a "fortress company," and ensure legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance. Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • General knowledge of corporate structure, court filing procedures (state & federal), and document formatting.
  • Familiarity with litigation procedures and terminology.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., iManage, Relativity, Westlaw, or similar).
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively under tight deadlines.
  • High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement).
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming service of process notifications and legal correspondence.
  • Receive, distribute, and track incoming property & auto claims, Federal and State Agency Charges/Complaints, and new litigation matters.
  • Create and maintain case-management database entries and other records.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain all legal documents related to cases.
  • Assist in drafting release agreements, coordinate payments, as needed.
  • Provide general office support, including but not limited to calendaring deadlines and scheduling meetings.
  • Communicate with outside counsel, opposing counsel, inside customers, and witnesses.
  • Assist with case-specific document/file requests and production.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Any other duties as required.
