About The Position

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with prior trial experience and a minimum of eight (8) years of paralegal experience. This role involves compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for attorneys in discovery, indexing and tracking case-related materials, and understanding Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing procedures. The paralegal will review documents for relevance and privilege, track document discovery, and coordinate trial logistics. This position requires close collaboration with attorneys and clients throughout all litigation phases, including supporting attorneys during trial with demonstratives and courtroom presentations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery
  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials
  • Working knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and all related court filing procedures and processes
  • Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file
  • Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices
  • Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria
  • Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery)
  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial
  • Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers
  • Summarizing depositions and other transcripts
  • Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation
  • Supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support
