About The Position

Pyatt Silvestri is a Las Vegas law firm with more than 40 years of service to the Nevada community. We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys in our insurance defense practice. This is a full-time, in-office position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and litigation support to assigned attorneys, assisting with case management, document preparation, client communication, records collection, scheduling, and court filings.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of continuous Legal Assistant experience supporting attorneys in a litigation-focused law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, and court systems.
  • Experience managing attorney calendars and litigation deadlines.
  • Excellent typing, proofreading, and document formatting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail, professionalism, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
  • Legal Assistant certificate or degree.
  • Experience with Nevada state and federal court rules.
  • Experience with electronic document management systems.
  • Experience obtaining and managing medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting.
  • File legal documents with state and federal courts through electronic filing systems.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and meetings.
  • Schedule appointments and litigation-related events.
  • Submit, track, and monitor requests for medical, billing, employment, and other records.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors.
  • Assist with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and case materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information.
  • Provide general administrative support and other duties as assigned.
