We’re looking for a detail-driven, proactive Litigation Legal Assistant to support our trial attorneys and play a key role in advancing cases through the judicial process. Requirements

  • A solid, working understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • 3–4 years of specialized foreclosure litigation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in document formatting within MS Word.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize urgent deadlines, and manage an active caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication talents tailored for a professional legal environment.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain attorney schedules, including scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings, while tracking all statutory court deadlines.
  • Draft foundational legal documents such as motions, affidavits, notices, and routine correspondence for attorney review and approval.
  • Assist with the discovery process, including drafting initial responses and organizing document production.
  • Prepare, index, and organize critical trial materials, exhibits, and physical or digital trial binders.
  • Set up and organize file materials for upcoming hearings, mediations, and depositions.
  • Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients, judicial assistants, court clerks, and opposing counsel.
  • Keep case details accurate, organized, and up to date within the firm’s case management system.
  • Conduct court records research and proactively monitor active case dockets.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to the legal team as needed.
