About The Position

Kaufman Dolowich is seeking an attorney to join its litigation team in the firm’s Orlando, Florida office. The firm has more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas. The attorney will handle sophisticated, high-exposure litigation matters in a collaborative environment, with meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. The role involves managing litigation matters from inception through resolution, advising and communicating with clients, and collaborating with attorneys across offices and practice groups.

Requirements

Admission to practice law in Florida.
3–4+ years of litigation experience in Employment, Professional Liability, and/or HOA matters.
Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and proactive, with eagerness to assume increasing responsibility.

Nice To Haves

Experience handling Employment, Professional Liability, and/or HOA litigation matters.
Experience handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
Experience managing matters independently.

Responsibilities

Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
Draft and respond to written discovery.
Take and defend depositions.
Prepare, draft, and argue motions.
Participate in court appearances, status conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation proceedings.
Develop case strategy and manage day-to-day litigation responsibilities.
Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic counsel and regular case updates.
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice groups on complex matters.
Assist with trial preparation and other high-stakes litigation activities.
