About The Position

Harwood Lloyd, LLP is seeking a full-time Attorney to join their New York Insurance Defense Department. This role is 100% remote, but requires the candidate to live in proximity to the New York Courts, within the NYC and Tri-State area to make court appearances. The ideal candidate will have strong trial experience, deposition intake, legal knowledge, and work autonomously with clients and other attorneys. An extensive understanding of New York court procedures, specifically in Queens & Kings County, is essential. Requirements

New York bar admission required.
Strong trial experience.
Strong deposition intake skills.
Strong legal knowledge.
Ability to work autonomously with clients and other attorneys.
Extensive understanding of New York court procedures, specifically in Queens & Kings County.
Must live in proximity to the New York Courts, within the NYC and Tri-State area to make court appearances.

Nice To Haves

Actual trial experience to verdict is preferred.
New Jersey bar admission is a plus.

Responsibilities

Handling a variety of insurance defense matters across the five boroughs, from initial file opening through discovery to resolution, including trial.
Making court appearances.
