New York Litigation Attorney, Insurance Defense
About The Position
Harwood Lloyd, LLP, a New York and New Jersey firm, is seeking a full-time Attorney to join us in our New York Insurance Defense Department. The ideal candidate has strong trial experience, deposition intake, legal knowledge, and works autonomously with our clients, other attorneys, and has an extensive understanding of New York court procedures, specifically in Queens & Kings County. The role is 100% fully remote, and we are seeking an immediate hire for our growing team. You are required to live in proximity to the New York Courts, within the NYC and Tri-State area to make court appearances. New York barred.
Requirements
- New York bar admission required.
- Strong trial experience.
- Deposition intake experience.
- Legal knowledge.
- Ability to work autonomously with clients and other attorneys.
- Extensive understanding of New York court procedures, specifically in Queens & Kings County.
- Must live in proximity to the New York Courts, within the NYC and Tri-State area to make court appearances.
Nice To Haves
- Actual trial experience to verdict is preferred.
- New Jersey bar admission is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Handling a variety of insurance defense matters across the five boroughs, from initial file opening through discovery to resolution, including trial.
