About The Position
Shulman Rogers is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Baltimore office. This role focuses on complex commercial litigation and construction law, including disputes involving contracts, mechanics liens, delays, defects, and high-stakes business matters. The ideal candidate can independently manage cases from pre-suit through trial, including motion practice, depositions, and discovery, while contributing to case strategy and client advocacy.
Requirements
- J.D. and admission to the Maryland Bar (DC/VA a plus).
- 5+ years of commercial litigation experience, with construction law preferred.
- Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with depositions, motions, and discovery management.
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently.
Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
- Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
- Manage case strategy, deadlines, and client communications.
- Assist with trial preparation and collaborate with internal teams.
