About The Position
Friedman Vartolo LLP is a fast-growing, New York-based law firm specializing in real estate and default services, with over 300 employees providing top-tier legal services to our clients in seven states. Friedman Vartolo LLP is looking for the absolute best default litigators in each jurisdiction and anticipates compensating them accordingly. The position requires a litigator capable of handling a wide array of litigated matters, including but not limited to, contested motions, appeals and evidentiary hearings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience independently handling contested motion practice
- Admission to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania
- Superior writing, research, and oral advocacy abilities
- Capable of identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and proficiently
- Able and eager to manage a heavy workload and produce a significant amount of legal work
Nice To Haves
- Admission to practice law in New Jersey and/or New York
- Willingness to waive into additional jurisdictions
Responsibilities
- Drafting of motions, briefs, and memorandums of law
- Conducting legal research
- Appearing on a wide range of court appearances including high level contested motions and evidentiary hearings
- Responding to relevant discovery related requests and motion practice
- Maintaining responsibility for all aspects of respective contested cases, including devising legal strategies and executing on legal strategies
