About The Position

This role is for a passionate advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident in the courtroom, and is dedicated to providing top-tier legal representation for personal injury clients. The attorney will manage a full litigation caseload with the support of a dedicated team.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ABA-accredited law school
  • Current member and in good standing of the Illinois Bar
  • Minimum of 3 years of Personal Injury litigation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Trial experience preferred
  • Commercial case experience a plus
  • Experiencing litigating trucking and other commercial motor vehicle cases a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Handle and manage Personal Injury files from file through trial
  • Work up litigation files from filing the lawsuit, writing discovery and depositions, and trying the case
  • Regularly interact with clients, adjusters, staff and other lawyers
  • Successfully lead a litigation team of 5 plus people
  • Litigate a case from beginning to end
  • Have good work ethics and present strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Experience in supervising and managing other team members
  • Pre-Litigation case management and negotiation experience
  • Experience handling cases involving commercial motor vehicles
  • Willing to expand knowledge of trucking litigation and obtain board certification in truck accident law
  • Willing to work independently yet be accountable

  • Salary range: $150,000-$225,000 + monthly bonus based on attorney fees collected
