About The Position

An established law firm is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to join its growing litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated and impactful civil litigation matters while developing courtroom, advocacy, and case-management skills. Attorneys in this role will gain hands-on experience throughout all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. Requirements

  • Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.
  • 2-5 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent organizational and case-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a litigation team.
  • Admitted to practice in California.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a diverse range of civil litigation matters.
  • Assist with cases involving public agencies, government tort liability, civil rights, constitutional law, personal injury, and complex civil disputes.
  • Participate in all phases of litigation, from initial case evaluation through trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare substantive memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and reviewing document productions.
  • Support and participate in depositions, mediations, client meetings, and witness interviews.
  • Assist with motion practice, court filings, and hearing preparation.
  • Monitor case deadlines and ensure compliance with procedural requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case development.
  • Contribute to trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and case analysis.
