About The Position

Nelson Mullins is seeking a talented 2-3 year Associate Attorney to join our Houston office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly regarded team representing leading automobile, powersports, and boat manufacturers among others, in complex litigation, regulatory compliance, and dealership-related matters across the United States. The Associate will work directly with experienced Partners and clients on a wide range of commercial litigation and regulatory matters involving manufacturer-dealer relationships, franchise and distribution issues, business disputes, compliance counseling, and strategic risk management. This role offers substantial client exposure, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to develop a nationally recognized practice.

Requirements

2-3 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
Commercial Litigation experience required
Excellent legal research, writing and analytical skills
Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities
A demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Licensed and in good standing in Texas.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to regulatory compliance, administrative law, dealership law, franchise law, or distribution law is a plus

Responsibilities

Manage and support commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution
Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and client communications
Assist with discovery, depositions, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation
Advise land distributors and manufacturers on regulatory compliance matters
Counsel clients regarding dealer and franchise relationships
Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices on sophisticated litigation and counseling matters
Develop direct relationships with national clients
