About The Position

The Orlando office of Dean Mead is seeking a Commercial Litigation/Bankruptcy Associate with 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, or insurance defense to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on sophisticated and varied civil litigation and bankruptcy matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with meaningful opportunities for professional development and advancement.

The associate will work closely with shareholders and other attorneys in handling complex matters through all phases of the litigation process. A significant portion of this position will support bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, making prior experience in that area – or a demonstrated interest in developing that practice – highly valuable.

In addition to bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, our practice involves a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including matters related to construction, trusts and estates, employment, real estate, business disputes, intellectual property, non-compete matters, and other related litigation issues.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, or insurance defense.
• Strong academic record.
• Admitted to practice law in Florida.
• Provide law school transcripts and a writing sample as part of the interview process.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.
• Demonstrated interest in developing a bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice.
