About The Position

Seyfarth Shaw LLP is hiring a Litigation Associate with 2–4 years of commercial litigation experience for its Seattle office. The associate will work in the Litigation Department on challenging cases in collaboration with senior attorneys. The work may include fast-moving, deadline-driven matters such as non-compete litigation and actions to protect trade secrets, representing clients as both plaintiffs and defendants.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of complex commercial litigation experience in a law firm.
• Experience preparing and arguing pleadings and contested motions, such as complaints, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, applications for temporary restraining orders, and preliminary injunctions.
• Experience taking and defending depositions and working with expert witnesses.
• Strong writing ability; applicants must submit two writing samples.
• Strong analytical and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-oriented and collaborative work environment.
• Admission to the Washington State Bar.
• Excellent academic credentials.
