Litigation Associate Attorney
About The Position
Larkin Hoffman is seeking to add an Associate Attorney to join our Litigation Practice Groups. This successful candidate will work closely with our current litigation attorneys to support numerous clients with general business, commercial, employment and real estate litigation matters. Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited United States law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
- Three or more years of experience handling litigation matters in areas such as business, commercial, labor and employment, product liability, environmental, insurance coverage, construction or real estate.
- Admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota.
Nice To Haves
- Preference given to candidates with a minimum of three years’ experience in business, commercial, employment or real estate litigation in Minnesota state courts and/or federal courts.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients and colleagues to gather information, provide legal advice, and update on status of legal actions and work on projects.
- Conduct legal research and analysis including investigating facts, analyzing case precedents, and researching applicable laws and regulations.
- Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, memoranda, contracts, and other legal documents as requested.
- Assist with discovery including preparing and responding to written discovery, reviewing document production (utilizing Relativity), and taking and defending depositions.
- Appear in court for hearings and trials; draft and argue motions; attend arbitrations and mediations.
