About The Position

Nelson Mullins law firm is looking to add a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Administrative Assistant to provide high-level support in complex commercial, civil, and defense litigation matters to join the Dallas Litigation team in Plano, TX. As an AmLaw100 firm, this is a unique opportunity to join an expanding practice that offers a range of litigation services to clients in a variety of industries.

Requirements

• Meaningful litigation experience within a law firm, including hands-on filing experience in both Texas state and federal courts.
• Excellent communication, proofreading, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong judgment and attention to detail.
• Proactive self-starter who can work independently and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to occasionally work overtime for urgent filings or trial-related matters.
• At least 3 years of experience gained in a law firm setting.
• Knowledge of Texas and federal court procedures, electronic filing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Typing skills of at least 65 words per minute.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with eviction matters.
• Familiarity with Indiana court filing procedures.
• Experience with document management, docketing, billing, time-entry, and expense-reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, revising, proofreading, and finalizing correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Maintaining calendars and deadlines.
• Filing documents in state and federal courts.
• Scheduling depositions and meetings.
• Assisting with trial, hearing, discovery, and deposition preparation.
• Handling travel arrangements, expense reports, attorney time entry, conflict checks, new matter openings, client files, billing requirements, invoices, and client communications.
• Managing competing priorities and communicating proactively regarding deadlines and assignments.
