About The Position

The Litho Coater Operator prepares ink, sets up and maintains coating and lithographing equipment, matches colors to required standards, and handles materials. The role includes lubricating the sheet feeder and offset lithographing press, training crew members, and alternating tasks with the Assistant Litho Pressman to help them learn the Litho Pressman’s duties and procedures. The operator must follow plant food safety procedures and other job-related instructions. This position is in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and requires the ability to work any shift on an eight-hour shift schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to work any shift.
Ability to perform the job duties proficiently.

Responsibilities

Prepare ink for use.
Set up, change, adjust, and clean rollers, offset plates, blankets, coating-machine rollers, and sheet-metal feeders.
Match color to required standards.
Control, check, obtain, handle, return, and requisition materials.
Lubricate the sheet feeder and offset lithographing press.
Train other members of the crew.
Alternate tasks with the Assistant Litho Pressman to help them learn the Litho Pressman’s duties and working procedures.
Follow all plant food safety procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as requested by a supervisor.
